Saturday September 19th, 2009: Fun at the park

While we were up in Utah County, we met up with my mom and some of her family. We had fun roasting marshmallows and making smores. Addison really enjoyed the watermelon. It was fun to have all my mom's kids together. I got some pictures, but I don't know how my sister Heather managed to avoid all of them. I totally forgot our camera so these are the only pictures I got on my phone the whole time we were up there. Oh well, better than nothing right?

Monday September14th, 2009: Ryan's softball team wins the championship!

Ryan has been playing city league softball here in St. George for the last five years and his team finally won the championship. He was so excited when he got home from the last game that he made me get up and take pics of him and the trophy just for the blog. Since Ryan's Dad sponsors the team, the trophy gets to be proudly displayed in the office.

September 12th, 2009: Sealed for all eternity...

We were sealed together in the Saint George Temple on September 12th. It was such a beautiful day. The sealing was amazing to say the least. We were so lucky to have so many friends and family members to support us. We were even lucky enough to have the timing work out so my brother Kurt could be there before he leaves on his mission. It was an amazing day that we will never forget.

A bunch of our friends from our ward went in together and got us this amazing picture of the Saint George Temple. We proudly hung it in the front room. It is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you all so much!

We also got this frame from our friends Galen and Tiffanee (I totally stole this pic from Tiffanee). We hung it in the hall and it looks perfect! Now we just need to put our picture in it. I will post pictures from the temple as soon as I get them.

An update from Dodge...

Instead of the usual, me narrating what we have done the last month, I decided I would let Dodge give a little update of his own, so here it is:

Addison is walking...

Addison started walking nearly a month ago. She is getting very good at it. It is so cute to see her wobbly and catch herself before a fall. I have been meaning to get video of it so I can post it one here so after nearly a month of procrastination here it is:

August 13th, 2009: Dodge goes to kindergarten...

I truly cannot believe how fast time has gone by! Our little man is officially in school. The poor guy was sick the first day but went to school regardless. He is a little trooper. He likes his teacher and all the kids in the class. He really enjoyed his second day better because he was feeling better. He even got to ride the bus home his second day of school. He is pretty excited to ride the bus to school and back on monday.



Dodge, we are so proud of you buddy. You are becoming such a big boy. We love you so much!

Enjoying the last bit of summer...

I feel so blessed to have a career that lets me spend so much time with my kids. We have been enjoying the last few days of summer before Dodge starts school. We may not have a very big backyard, but we are glad to have one at all. We have a lot of fun just playing in the sprinklers and sliding into the little pool.

July 24th, 2009: Happy Pioneer Day... Oh, and Addison's Birthday Extravaganza!

Grandma and Papa Johnson threw an over-the-top party for Addison's 1st Birthday. We even had fireworks! Okay, so it was the 24th of July, which here in Utah is Pioneer Day and we are lucky enough to do fireworks all over again. (I was seriously 12 before I knew that the entire country didn't celebrate the 24th!). It was a great day because so many people were able to come. Galen and Tiffanee came. Grandma and Papa Mooney were able to come down with Kurt. And Dennis and Patty were able to visit with their two girls, Chelsea and Cammi. It was awesome... until the mosquitos decided to join the party.

July 22, 2009: Happy First Birthday Addison!!

It is so hard to believe Addison is really a year old! That had to be the fastest year of my life. We went to Pirate Island Pizza on Addison's birthday. I know, not really very girly, but it was Dodge's idea.

The Date Is Set...

Since the Temple will be closed on September 5th, we have scheduled our sealing for Saturday September 12th. Hopefully there won't be anymore changes. We are so excited. Thank you all for your prayers and support! We couldn't have done it without all of you!

Almost there...

We are planning to be sealed September 5th, 2009 at the Saint George, Utah Temple. It's not set in stone so don't get to mad if it changes, we are just so excited so I couldn't wait to send out an update!

Fish Lake July 6th-9th, 2009

Dodge, Addison, and I went to Fish Lake with some of my family for a couple days. We stayed in cabins right by the Lodge. This was the kids first time "cabining" and fishing. We had so much fun at the Lake with the family. Dodge even caught a fish all by himself. He really enjoyed hanging out with all the guys and riding on the boat. He can't wait until we go "fishin" again.

Ryan and I only have one temple prep class to go. I really am so excited! I can't wait to be a forever family. Wouldn't that be the best Christmas present ever? Thanks for all the prayers and support! We love you all!
