New post with lots of pictures :)

Just some snapshots of the kids: Dodge in his karate outfit, also dressed as a
doctor that kinda looks like Harry Potter...
I call it, Ninjocter Potter...

Running around in her walker

Just chillin' like she always does

Addison's trip to the hospital:
She was in the hospital for four days. She needed IV antibiotics for a staph infection in her leg.
She was a little trooper. We are so glad to have her home

They had to place an IV in her head when the IV in her foot went bad. She didn't have very many places to poke because she is healthy and chubby. She smiled even though she had an IV and tubing on her head. We tried to pretty it up a little bit with the bow.

She loved going for rides in the wagon around the pediatric unit.

She had a lot of really great nurses and aides. She was a little superstar.

The Dinosoar Museum:

We even saw a 3D movie. Dodge really liked it, he even tried to grab at everything that was jumping out of the screen.

Addison and Charlie

Addison loves Charlie. I snapped this video of them on my cell phone so it isn't the best quality but it's still cute. Her little laugh is so cute. I cannot believe she is already seven months old. She loves to run around in her walker and try to keep up with Dodge.

Bath Time!

Addison loves bath time. I think it is her favorite thing, next to eating and sleeping anyway.

She is getting so good at sitting up on her own

Dodge sportin' the KU gear...

Two weeks ago, Dodge got to go to Kansas with Grandma and Poppy Johnson for Annie's baby blessing. While there, Grandma and Poppy bought Dodge a couple of KU shirts. This is his favorite and I bet he would wear it everyday if I let him. I am tempted to let him keep it on since it is the only shirt that hasn't fallen victim to Dodge's shirt chewing habit!

A new post with pictures... really :)

I am so bad about taking the kids to get their pictures done. I decided it has been so long since I got a picture of Dodge that I would attempt to do my own at home. I am about as beginner as you can get with photography so I use Photoscape to edit all of my pictures. It is such a great program. I swear it doesn't matter how bad your pictures are, this program can make them masterpieces! Well, here are the finished products.

Rules:

1. go to the my pictures site on your computer

2. go to your sixth file

3. go to your sixth picture

4. blog about it

5. tag 6 people

This is one of my attempts to create 'digital' scrapbook pages for the kids. Obviously, it is Addison eating.

I don't really want to tag anyone, but if you wanna do it, it is kinda fun to see what random picture you pull up.

'honk-ta-gone'

The other night we were cutting out foam hearts for some valentines. Ryan got a little carried away and started cutting out all sorts of shapes, one of which was an octagon. Dodge picked it up and said "look mom, dad made a honk-ta-gone". I tried to explain to him that it was an 'octagon' but he insisted "no, it's a honk-ta-gone, just like a stop sign duh!".

Since I'm on a blogging roll...

Addison had her six month checkup today! I cannot believe it has already been six months since we brought her home. She is right on track with her height and weight. 16.1 pounds and 25 1/2 inches long. After she got her four shots (holy cow) I was putting her pants on when I heard a "thud". I look over and Dodge had somehow managed to fall off the chair and smack the corner of his eye (the one infected with the awesome pink eye) right on the corner of the desk. There I am with one crying baby, and another crying injured 5 year old! It was quite an adventurous trip to the Doctors! Luckily, Dodge's eye just got a little scrape and a bruise and Addison went to sleep after a small bit of crying. I bet they are looking forward to seeing us again at her nine month checkup!!

This is Addison's first lady shirt my dad and "other-mother" Ruth got her while they were in Washington D.C. She is just too cute!! She has been rolling all over the place. I put her on a blanket and 5 minutes later she is ten feet away! She is getting more and more active everyday.

This is Dodge's pink eye with the scrape and bruise from his encounter with the desk. When I first said to Dodge that I think he has pink eye, he said to me "Oh no mom, I don't want pink eyes. I don't want to be sick". I told him we were gonna have to miss karate but we could watch cartoons in bed instead and he thought that was a pretty fair trade.
Here he is saying "I have awesome pink eye!!

Addison eating her carrots topless. Originally she had a shirt on... but she dumped her juice on it while I had my back turned!
I can't believe how fast time is going by. I know I have said that in almost all my posts, but it just hits me all over again when I sit down and think over the last couple of weeks or months. We have been so blessed to have so much in our lives. I think most of all, we have been so blessed with those around us and our beautiful little family. I just want to say thanks to all those who have been there for us. We love you and appreciate all that you do!

Emma's Birthday Celebration - January 13th 2009

Dodge's cousin Emma decided she wanted to go to Chuck-E-Cheese for her Birthday and she invited Dodge to go with her. We went to Las Vegas and got to play a ton of games at Chuck-E-Cheese and then we lunched at The Cheesecake Factory and stopped by FAO Schwarz. They had a blast. Dodge, Addison, and I stayed a little bit longer to do some shopping which included a trip to Toys-R-Us and a stop by our friends Brook and Bob's.

Dodge loves the Whack-A-Mole

And the driving games

and running around!

Breaking the Gingerbread House

Every year, Ryan's family has a tradition of making Gingerbread houses for the holidays. After Christmas, they get to smash the gingerbread houses with a hammer. Dodge had a blast building the house and couldn't wait until we could smash it. The day finally came and he was armed with a hammer and took out the poor house. He had fun smashing but still wanted to eat it afterward... gross!
