We all got together at Grama and Papa Johnson's to make some super cute snowmen pretzels and reindeer cookies. Addison really enjoyed eating the treats while everyone else got really creative. The kids did a really good job and the treats turned out really cute.

 

November 26th, 2009: Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year at Grama and Papa Johnson's. Uncle Dennis and Aunt Patti were able to come with their girls Chelsea and Cammi. It was a great day. We played some football, some frisbee, and enjoyed some delicious turkey. I absolutely love spending a day with my family and remembering all that we are blessed to have.

I know it's nearly Thanksgiving but we finally have leaves on the ground down here. After dinner, Dodge, Emma, and Addison enjoyed playing in the small pile in Papa Johnson's back yard.

 

Sunday November 15th, 2009

We had our Primary Program: My Eternal Family.  It was fun because everyone but Addison got to be a part of it. Dodge finished his Turkey project for school and it looks pretty awesome. He loves to cut with scissors so we cut out a bunch of colored foam for feathers, feet, and even that weird dangly thingy on it's beak.

Addison apparently felt like having spaghetti while I was in the shower... I guess I need to fix the baby locks on the cabinets!

November 5th, 2009

Dodge has been riding his bike so well. He wanted to go ride bikes so we decided to try and go all the way to Grama and Papa Johnson's house. Since it is about 3 1/2 miles, I didn't think we would actually make it all the way but Dodge did great and made it the whole way in about an hour! He was actually getting mad at me for going to slow! Good job Dodge, you are amazing on that bike of yours!

Addison is pretty observant. I always see her picking up on the little things I do. I found her sitting on the time out chair reading one of my books and couldn't help but take a picture. She is too cute!

October 31, 2009: Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween this year. Grama and Papa Mooney came down with Aunt Katie and took me to Thriller at Tuacahn for my birthday. On Saturday we carved pumpkins and went to a party for me at Grama and Papa Johnson's and did some trick-or-treating. Addison was a pretty cute little bumblebee and Dodge was a Clone Trooper. We only trick-or-treated about 10 houses and Dodge decided he was done. It was so fun to have Grama, Papa, and Katie all here for Halloween and my birthday.

Saturday October 24, 2009

We drove by the haunted house they put up by the mall every year. It's called Corpse Nightmare. I asked Dodge if he wanted to go to the Corpse Nightmare and he said "Why would I want to go to Pork's Nightmare??" He makes me laugh on a daily basis I swear.

Dodge has wanted to go camping for such a long time and I feel bad that we never made it before the weather turned colder. Well, tonight he is camping in the front room in the tent. I guess it will have to do until the spring. Dodge and Addison have both enjoyed having it up. I am not looking forward to Dodge's disappointment when I put it away.

I got to spend nearly three hours at the Instacare today. The good news is I don't have swine flu, the bad news is I have a pretty substantial case of bronchitis going on. Hopefully these antibiotics and some cough syrup will get me on the mend quickly, I hate not being able to keep up with the kids.

These birds are always in our yard at night, I just love them. It is the perfect time of year to be living here because it is so nice outside all the time. I love it here.

Dodge got to stay home from school today because he is still sick. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Addison had her well checkup today. She is just under the 50th percentile in both height and weight measuring in at 21 pounds and height of 30 inches. She had to get four shots the poor girl. She always does so well though. She didn't cry long at all.

We went to Grandma and Papa Johnson's for dinner and celebrated aunt Michelle's 31st birthday.

I submitted my blog book today. It should be here next week. If anyone is interested in making their blog into a book I recommend checking out blurb.com They have a great program you download that pulls your blog into a book template. Monday October 19th, 2009

This weekend everyone at the Johnson house was sick. I doubt it's the swine flu since everyone seems to be almost back to normal. Luckily this weekend was UEA break and Dodge hasn't missed any school yet! We'll see if he's ready for school tomorrow. Addison seems to be better, lucky for her she gets to go to the doctor for a well child checkup tomorrow morning and she is well enough to gets any shots she needs. Too bad that fever didn't stay just a little longer right Addison?

My New-Autumn Resolution...

I am officially making this blog my 365 scrapbook. I am terrible at scrap booking and all the kids pictures are in a box waiting to be put into a book so I am going to "scrapbook" on the blog instead. I am going to try to post something everyday so I can print the blog into a book at the end of each year. The cutest blog on the block makes some cute books out of your blog. You can check them out  HERE.  I think it's a great idea, how well I can stick to it is yet to be proven. So here's to my new-autumn resolution!
