Since I'm on a blogging roll...

Addison had her six month checkup today! I cannot believe it has already been six months since we brought her home. She is right on track with her height and weight. 16.1 pounds and 25 1/2 inches long. After she got her four shots (holy cow) I was putting her pants on when I heard a "thud". I look over and Dodge had somehow managed to fall off the chair and smack the corner of his eye (the one infected with the awesome pink eye) right on the corner of the desk. There I am with one crying baby, and another crying injured 5 year old! It was quite an adventurous trip to the Doctors! Luckily, Dodge's eye just got a little scrape and a bruise and Addison went to sleep after a small bit of crying. I bet they are looking forward to seeing us again at her nine month checkup!!

This is Addison's first lady shirt my dad and "other-mother" Ruth got her while they were in Washington D.C. She is just too cute!! She has been rolling all over the place. I put her on a blanket and 5 minutes later she is ten feet away! She is getting more and more active everyday.

This is Dodge's pink eye with the scrape and bruise from his encounter with the desk. When I first said to Dodge that I think he has pink eye, he said to me "Oh no mom, I don't want pink eyes. I don't want to be sick". I told him we were gonna have to miss karate but we could watch cartoons in bed instead and he thought that was a pretty fair trade.
Here he is saying "I have awesome pink eye!!

Addison eating her carrots topless. Originally she had a shirt on... but she dumped her juice on it while I had my back turned!
I can't believe how fast time is going by. I know I have said that in almost all my posts, but it just hits me all over again when I sit down and think over the last couple of weeks or months. We have been so blessed to have so much in our lives. I think most of all, we have been so blessed with those around us and our beautiful little family. I just want to say thanks to all those who have been there for us. We love you and appreciate all that you do!

Emma's Birthday Celebration - January 13th 2009

Dodge's cousin Emma decided she wanted to go to Chuck-E-Cheese for her Birthday and she invited Dodge to go with her. We went to Las Vegas and got to play a ton of games at Chuck-E-Cheese and then we lunched at The Cheesecake Factory and stopped by FAO Schwarz. They had a blast. Dodge, Addison, and I stayed a little bit longer to do some shopping which included a trip to Toys-R-Us and a stop by our friends Brook and Bob's.

Dodge loves the Whack-A-Mole

And the driving games

Breaking the Gingerbread House

Every year, Ryan's family has a tradition of making Gingerbread houses for the holidays. After Christmas, they get to smash the gingerbread houses with a hammer. Dodge had a blast building the house and couldn't wait until we could smash it. The day finally came and he was armed with a hammer and took out the poor house. He had fun smashing but still wanted to eat it afterward... gross!

Christmas 2008

I cannot believe it but Dodge didn't even wake up until almost 8:00 on Christmas morning. He came in our bedroom and said "Mom, Santa came! He didn't forget!". I hadn't realized he was concerned Santa would flake! We woke up and opened all the presents and then went over to Ryan's parents for a Christmas breakfast. It was a fun Christmas. Dodge even enjoyed opening Addison's presents. I didn't get a lot of pictures, I was too busy enjoying the kids, and I totally forgot the camera when we went for breakfast.

Dodge asked Santa for Wii games. Santa just brought Wii games because that is what Dodge asked for. When he had finished opening all the games and all the presents were opened, Dodge looked at me and asked "Where is the Wii?" I told him he needed to be more specific when he asked Santa for presents. When we got to Ryan's parents and started opening gifts, we had him open the family present to us which was the Wii. He started yelling and jumping up and down, "It's just what I needed". It was quite funny. Dodge has really enjoyed the Wii, and so has Ryan.

I have two adorable videos but after waiting 2 hours for one to load with no success, I have given up. I will post them later!

Dodge Turns 5! December 18th 2008

I can't believe how fast time has gone by, this last year especially. Dodge turned 5 on December 18th. We celebrated by having a Batman party at Ryan's parents. Dodge was so excited for his birthday this year, he started asking for presents in June. When we finally got to December, I think he had asked for about everything you could imagine. He even asked me one day at wal-mart to get him a certain nintendo game for his 111th birthday. At least I won't have to worry what to get him then I guess (even if I would be 130 years old at that point!)

Going to see the lights...

While we were visiting family up north, one of our stops was at my cousin Jamie's. We went to see the Lights in Spanish Fork. Every year the Spanish Oaks park has a drive through light display. The kids loved it so much we went around the park three times.

Thanksgiving... Take Two

My dad's family were nice enough to put us up at "Hotel Mooney" for the week. It was so fun to see everyone. My sister Holly recently moved back to Utah from Washington so we got to see her and her two kids a lot. Garrison was kind of jealous that he wasn't the baby anymore! Grace and Dodge were nearly inseperable. They played so well together. Dodge tells me almost everyday that he misses his cousin Grace.
We got to do a lot of fun things while we were up there. We went to the Body Worlds exhibit that was in Salt Lake. I would have taken pictures if they would have let us. It was amazing. Dodge was so good the whole two hours it took us to walk through the exhibit. He thought it was pretty cool. We also went to A Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater. Dodge loved the play. He even caught some of the chocolate coins that Scrooge threw into the audience at the end of the play.
Here are a few of the pictures I took. I didn't get as many as I would have liked but for the most part I was caught up with visiting with all the family I haven't seen in a while and forgot about the camera.

I actually got a picture of Garrison smiling!!

This has to be the most precious picture I have ever seen!!

While we were all there for Thanksgiving, we decided to get some family pictures. All that was missing was my oldest sister Brook and her family that live back east.

Thanksgiving Take One... November 26th 2008

We went "up north" this year for Thanksgiving to see some of my family. We got together the night before Thanksgiving with my mom's family. It is the first time all the kids have been together in years. It was fun to see all the grandkids together.

Dodge's Thanksgiving Program November 25th 2008

Dodge's Preschool had a Thanksgiving Feast. After the feast the kids sang some Thanksgiving songs and recited some poems they learned. It was so cute to see them all in their pilgrim hats.

Dodge was more than happy to get up in front of everyone and perform.

Here is one of the Thanksgiving poems they learned. I picked this video because I thought it was hilarious that Dodge was picking his nose through most of it. Kids are so funny :)
